TIME CHANGE Please note that all Sunday Masses next weekend (March 13th) will be on Daylight Savings Time. Please remember to turn your clocks ahead one hour Saturday evening, March 12th.

We are well into the Jubilee of Mercy, which was declared by Pope Francis back in December. And we have a wonderful opportunity to celebrate and experience God’s infinite mercy at our annual Lenten Penance Service. This will take place next Sunday, March 13th, beginning at 2:30 PM in the church. So far, eight guest priests will be coming to Holy Name to help with confessions. So please come as well if you need to go to confession before Easter. And be sure to pass on God’s mercy to all those you meet during the remainder of this Easter season. SATURDAY MORNING MASS SCHEDULE After we lost Fr. Brian, I made an effort to maintain a Saturday morning Mass. This has meant that many Saturdays I have had to offer three Masses (9:00AM, Funeral and 4:00PM) and then offer three more on Sunday. And “Wedding Season” hasn’t yet begun! I’m afraid I cannot maintain this pace any longer. So after Easter there will be a Saturday morning Mass on the first Saturday of the month only. But to accommodate people’s schedules, that Mass will be at 8:00 AM. I thank you for your understanding in this matter.

PARISH LENTEN PENANCE SERVICE Our annual Lenten Penance Service will be held next Sunday, March 13th beginning at 2:30 PM. Eight visiting priests will join us for the celebration. If you cannot attend then, St. Mary’s Nanty Glo is holding their Lenten Penance Service at 6:30 PM on Tuesday, March 15th; St. John Vianney, Mundy’s Corner at 7:00 PM on Thursday, March 17th. SPECIAL LENTEN CONFESSION TIMES • Saturday, March 19th - Noon, 3:00PM - 3:45PM, 5:15 PM • Monday, March 21st - 7:00AM & 8:30AM • Tuesday, March 22nd - 8:30AM & 6:30PM • Wednesday, March 23rd - 8:30AM & 6:30PM (no Mass at 7:00 PM this evening) ANNUAL CATHOLIC APPEAL Thank you to all who have participated in the Annual Catholic Appeal. To date, our families have pledged $28,571.00 toward our parish goal of $95,426.00. Please join in supporting our parish and Diocesan ministries with a Lenten gift. If you do not have a pledge card, you may send your gift directly to the parish office or give online at www.dioceseaj.org.

7th - 11th Grade CCD News: As we approach the end of the Jr/Sr High CCD School year, we are currently evaluating how the Jr/ Sr. High Religious Education program will be taught in the Fall. We would like to go back to a classroom environment for the students, however we will need teachers for that to happen. If you would be interested in teaching a 7th -11th grade class in the Fall, please call Nancy McCulley at 241-7809. If we do not have enough teachers, we will continue our online classes for the students. Please consider sharing your faith with the youth of our parish. Thanks & God bless.
