Dear Editor/TV Writer:

In September, Starz Cinema proudly presents two world television premieres. On 9/15, the channel honors the third anniversary of Johnny Ramone’s passing with the world television premiere of Too Tough to Die: A Tribute to Johnny Ramone. On September 12, 2004, just two-and-a-half days before Johnny Ramone's death, a group of musicians and friends-among them The Red Hot Chili Peppers, Eddie Vedder, Henry Rollins, Deborah Harry, X, The Dickies, and others staged a benefit concert to celebrate Johnny, Joey, and Dee Dee’s life. Also premiering in September is The Quiet on 9/29 – (Elisha Cuthbert, Camilla Belle, Edie Falco) – A film where things are not as they appear as a recently orphaned 15-year-old moves in with her Godparents and their bitchy teenaged daughter.

Encore Westerns celebrates the 100th birthday of Gene Autry. “A Century in the Saddle: Gene Autry’s Centennial Birthday,” is a 100-hour movie commemoration of his amazing career and includes films such as Public Cowboy No. 1, Back in the Saddle, The Old Corral and Man from Music Mountain. A “promo-mentary” highlighting his life will also air as part of the marathon. Tune in on 9/28 at 8 p.m.

Encore pays tribute the crazy ‘80s with “Big ’80s Weekend.” Beginning Friday, 8/31 at 8 p.m., enjoy five days of classic ‘80s movies, including films such as Revenge of the Nerds, Dirty Dancing, Honey, I Shrunk the Kids, Rambo: First Blood, Commando and Who Framed Roger Rabbit?.

Starz presents “Starz Saturday Premiere” with the television premieres of The Queen (9/1), Open Season (9/8), Zoom (9/15), Stranger Than Fiction (9/22), and Running With Scissors (9/29).

Finally, starting at 5:20 p.m. on 9/5, Starz is proud to present four films celebrating the great American sport of football, including The Program, The Waterboy, Invincible, and Gridiron Gang.

If you need additional information, art or descriptions of the films, please don’t hesitate to call. You can also find the highlights reports, press releases and high-resolution images for download on our press site at http://starz.mediaroom.com.
