PROCEDURE GUIDELINES FOR KOHL MANSION RENTAL. The following Procedure Guidelines are in addition to, and shall not be construed to in any way.
EXHIBIT B PROCEDURE GUIDELINES FOR KOHL MANSION RENTAL The following Procedure Guidelines are in addition to, and shall not be construed to in any way modify or amend, in whole or in part, the covenants of the Agreement. In the event of any conflict between these Procedure Guidelines and the provisions of the Agreement, the provisions of the Agreement shall control. •

The Agreement provides for 8 or 9 hours of continuous use.  Hours available for use will be subject to Mercy’s approval.  8 or 9 hour rental includes 2 hours prior to the Event for vendors to setup and 1 hour after the Event for vendors to break down. Additional time is available at $500.00 an hour.



If the Date of Event is on a weekday during the school year, neither the permittee nor any of the vendors may enter the Kohl Mansion until after 3:30pm.



The Kohl Mansion requests that you select the vendors for your Event from the list provided to you by the Kohl Mansion (“The Kohl Mansion’s Recommended List”). The vendors on the Kohl Mansion Recommended List are familiar with the Kohl Mansion and its guidelines related thereto.



If you elect to hire a caterer not on the Kohl Mansion’s Preferred Caterer List (an “Outside Caterer”), the Outside Caterer must be pre-approved by a Kohl Mansion event director, and you will be charged an additional non-refundable fee of $ 1,500. The outside caterer must be approved by, and meet with, a Kohl Mansion event director to be familiarized with the policies and procedures of the mansion. _______(permittee’s initials)



Additionally, if permittee chooses to engage a caterer not on the Kohl Mansion’s Preferred Caterer List (an “Outside Caterer”), the permittee agrees to use the outside caterer for providing food only and that all service and wait personnel will be obtained through a caterer from the Kohl Mansion’s Preferred Caterer List



Alcoholic beverages may be brought on site, and no corkage fee is charged. Caterers listed on the Kohl Mansion’s Preferred Caterer List provide bartenders. Any caterers serving alcoholic beverages are required to carry at least $2,000,000.00 of liquor liability insurance.



The Kohl Mansion requires that you select a DJ vendor for your Event from the list provided to you by the Kohl Mansion (“The Kohl Mansion’s Recommended List”). The vendors on the Kohl Mansion Recommended List are familiar with the Kohl Mansion and its guidelines related thereto. If a band is chosen by the Permittee to provide music at the event instead of a DJ, the band must be approved by a Kohl Mansion event director.



Music may only be amplified inside the Kohl Mansion. Only acoustic non-amplified music is permitted outside the Kohl Mansion. All music must end by 10:00 pm Monday through Thursday and by 11:00 pm on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. (Please refer to additional music and sound guidelines provided by the Kohl Mansion).



All deliveries and vendors should use the service entrance behind the Kohl Mansion located on Adeline Drive between Alvarado and Hoover, or the side entrance via the handicap ramp. No deliveries should be made at any time through the front door of the Kohl Mansion.



Tents can only be placed on the patio of the Kohl Mansion and all applicable additional fees will be charged (see fees below). Tents cannot be placed on the lawn area. (Canopies can be placed on the lawn with prior approval) You must notify a Kohl Mansion event director IMMEDIATELY if you are considering a tent for your Event. If you choose to have a tent at your event, the Kohl Mansion requires that you use one of the vendors listed on the Kohl Mansion Recommended List _______(permittee’s initials) Nails, tacks, tape or other defacing materials shall NOT be used in decorating for your event.

Flowers and foliage on the grounds surrounding the Kohl Mansion are for all to view and enjoy, but not to cut.



Serving Bars may be setup anywhere in the Kohl Mansion, EXCEPT on hardwood floors. No exceptions without prior approval by a Kohl Mansion event director.



All beverages shall be served in glassware. Cans, bottles or plastic ARE NOT PERMITTED. No exceptions without prior approval by a Kohl Mansion event director.



Children under 12 must be supervised by adults at all times. The Kohl Mansion recommends using a professional childcare service and can provide references if needed.



Valet or assisted parking is required for Events over 200 guests. _______(permittee’s initials)



Candles may be used in votive cups or hurricanes globes only. No candles shall be left unattended or in isolated rooms (i.e., Restrooms, Bride’s Room, etc.). _______(permittee’s initials)



Smoking and bubbles are not permitted inside the Kohl Mansion. When smoking outside, please use receptacles provided.



Balloons, rice, birdseed, confetti or sparklers are NOT PERMITTED to be used inside or outside the Kohl Mansion. _______(permittee’s initials)



All signage must be removed immediately after your Event.



Mercy is not responsible for any loss of personal possessions belonging to Permittee, contractors, or invitees. _______(permittee’s initials)



Mercy is not responsible for any deliveries, including liquor.



The Kohl Mansion’s staff will setup all rental and Kohl equipment before your vendors arrive. Following event, caterers are responsible for breakdown of rental equipment.



Rental fee includes one Kohl Mansion staff person and one security person on site during your event. The Kohl Mansion staff person is available to oversee the facility and answer questions, but is not responsible for coordinating permittee’s event.

Outside Caterer: If a permittee chooses to use a caterer not on the Kohl Mansion preferred caterer’s list, a fee of $1,500 will apply, no exceptions. Additional insurance: $100.00, make check payable to Mercy High School Rehearsal: $250.00 this fee is already included in our 9-hour “wedding package” Overtime:$500.00 per hour - for time beyond the 8 or 9-hour rental period Chivari Chairs: $5.00 each - Mahogany Chivari Chairs with ivory cushions. (200 chairs available for rental) Use of Piano:$100.00 for Ceremony and/or Reception Use of Stage: $40.00 per 4’ x 6’ platform, 6 platforms available (For use of the piano and/or stage, please make checks payable to: Music at Kohl Mansion). Setup for Stage: $50.00-150.00 depending on size of stage (Make checks payable to: TLC Janitorial Services) Tent Service Fee: $250.00-500.00 depending on size of tent to facilitate set and removal
