The hardness tester can test any kind of pellet up to a maximum size of 22 mm.

By determining hardness, it is possible to compare different mixtures and batches, and an immediate quality control without timeconsuming laboratory tests is obtained.

The hardness tester is equipped with two interchangeable compression springs. The 2.5 mm spring with pertaining upper scale comprises the pressure range from 0 to 25 kg, the 3.5 mm spring with the lower scale ranges from 0 to abt. 100 kg.

Tighten the pressure screw until the pellet bursts.

Set the indicator on the 0mark of the scale. When doing so press the piston slightly backwards.

Introduce the pellet between the anvil and the piston top and tighten the fixing screw until the built-in ratchet turns over.

Tighten the pressure screw until the pellet bursts.

The indicator will show the pressure applied in kg. Please make sure the correct scale is read.

After use the pressure spring must be released by turning the pressure screw backwards.
