Boy Scout “Workin’ the Ropes!” Camporee September 23-25, 2016 Pawnee Bill Ranch, Hwy 64, Pawnee, OK What:

Camporee with fun scout skills competitions, camping displays, Dutch Oven cooking contest, fishing and Saturday night campfire for all Boy Scouts and Webelos from Troops and Packs across the Cimarron Council and surrounding area. Scouts must be accompanied and supervised by adult leaders. This event is not for siblings or other unregistered youth. Troops : Host and/or compete in fun scout skills events to earn pennants for your patrol or Troop flag, complete 2 nights of camping, participate in Saturday night campfire, and have an opportunity to introduce Webelos to Troop and Boy Scouting fun. Webelos: Camporee will provide an opportunity for Webelos Scouts to participate in the Fishing Derby, work on requirements for Webelos and Arrow of Light adventures, and interact with Boy Scouts.

When:

Friday, September 23rd - Sunday, September 25th, 2016. Troops check-in and set up camp after 6 pm on Friday. Troops break camp, clean-up and depart Sunday morning. Webelos check-in Saturday morning. Webelos will camp with a designated troop on Saturday night. Webelos will participate in Boy Scout camporee activities Saturday afternoon. Webelos are expected to help set up the tent that they will be camping in. Webelos are encouraged to arrive early and set up camp to maximize interaction with Boy Scouts. (With your parent or guardian, camp overnight with a Boy Scout troop. Sleep in a tent that you have helped pitch.)

Where:

Pawnee Bill Ranch is located just west of Pawnee, OK on the south side of the highway.

Cost:

Early bird registration is $15 per person. This provides patches, competition awards, and all program supplies, as well as a hot dog lunch and dinner on Saturday. Boy Scout troops will need to plan and provide their own meals Friday night, Saturday breakfast and Sunday breakfast if they are still in camp. There will be a Dutch Oven Dessert Competition for Saturday’s dinner. Please bring ingredients and equipment to serve your troop and at least 5 guests.

Registration: Compete attached registration form and forward it with payment to the Cimarron Council Office (317 N. Grand, Enid, OK 73701) by Friday, September 2nd, to ensure Scouts receive a patch and supplies. Downloadable form is also available at www.cimarronbsa.org. Registration cost will increase to $20 per participant after the registration deadline.
